Arkansas softball extends 14-game winning streak with five-inning run-rule wins over Boise State, Charlotte

Two quick victories push Razorbacks to 16-1 as tournament play continues in Fayetteville

The Arkansas Razorbacks softball team extended its winning streak to 14 games on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, using the run rule to end both matchups early in a Wooo Pig Classic doubleheader at Bogle Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Arkansas beat Boise State 10-1 in five innings and later defeated Charlotte 14-3 in five innings, improving to 16-1 on the season.

The 14-game streak is tied for the second-longest in Arkansas program history. Through 17 games, Arkansas has recorded 12 run-rule wins, a sign of sustained separation on the scoreboard rather than isolated late-game rallies.

Boise State: late surge ends it in the fifth

Against Boise State, Arkansas built a 5-0 lead through three innings and received a complete-game, five-inning performance from pitcher Cam Harrison, who struck out seven and allowed one run on one hit. Boise State’s lone run came on a solo home run in the fourth inning, briefly narrowing the margin to 5-1.

Arkansas closed the game in the bottom of the fifth by scoring five runs, capped by a two-run home run from Karlie Davison that ended the contest under the run rule.

Charlotte: six-run first inning sets tone

In the nightcap, Arkansas scored six runs in the first inning to take early control. Charlotte got on the board in the third inning, trimming the deficit to 6-2, but Arkansas responded with additional scoring in the third and fourth innings.

The decisive blow came in the fourth inning when Tianna Bell hit a grand slam, helping Arkansas reach a 14-3 final after five innings. Charlotte’s final run came in the fifth, but the margin remained large enough for the run rule to apply.

Key individual performances

  • Karlie Davison went 5-for-5 across the two games with a home run, six RBIs, three runs scored, a double and a stolen base, while extending her reached-base streak to 13 games.

  • Brinli Bain went 3-for-6 on the day with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored, and has reached base in all 17 games this season.

  • Cam Harrison earned the win against Boise State to move to 3-0, while Payton Burnham picked up the win against Charlotte to improve to 4-1.

Arkansas’ Friday results featured two run-rule wins and continued a season pattern in which the team has frequently reached the five-inning threshold while maintaining large scoring margins.

What comes next

Arkansas was scheduled to continue play in the Wooo Pig Classic the following day with additional matchups, as the Razorbacks remained in a stretch of home games designed to build early-season results before the schedule turns deeper into conference play.
