Extended booking window for the Charlotte-area airport

Avelo Airlines has extended its published flight schedule at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport through Aug. 18, 2026, allowing travelers in the Charlotte region to book summer 2026 travel months earlier than previously available. The carrier said the schedule extension covers six nonstop destinations currently served from Concord.

The announcement, dated Jan. 20, 2026, positions Concord-Padgett—marketed by the airline as a convenient alternative to Charlotte Douglas International Airport—as a continuing base for Avelo’s low-fare strategy focused on smaller and mid-size airports.

Six nonstop destinations included in the summer 2026 extension

Avelo’s extension keeps the following nonstop routes available for sale from Concord-Padgett (airport code USA) through mid-August 2026:

  • Albany, New York (ALB)
  • Orlando/Lakeland, Florida (LAL)
  • New Haven, Connecticut (HVN)
  • Rochester, New York (ROC)
  • New York/Long Island (Islip), New York (ISP)
  • San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU)

The carrier also promoted summer one-way fares starting at $50, noting that fares depend on route, travel dates, and availability, and that additional charges may apply for optional services such as seat assignments and baggage.

Context: Concord has become a growing budget-air gateway

Avelo began building out Concord-Padgett as a Charlotte-area foothold in 2025, adding new nonstop links such as Long Island (Islip) and promoting the airport’s smaller scale and shorter terminal walks. The airline has described Concord as one of its operating bases, aligning with its broader network approach of linking smaller airports with point-to-point routes rather than relying on traditional hub connections.

The summer 2026 schedule extension follows an earlier schedule extension in 2025 that opened booking into February 2026 for Avelo’s East Coast network. Together, the two moves indicate the carrier is steadily pushing its sellable inventory farther into the future—an approach airlines often use to support advance trip planning and manage demand across peak travel periods.

What remains unknown for summer 2026 travelers

While the extension makes flights available for sale through Aug. 18, 2026, it does not guarantee that every flight currently listed will operate exactly as published. Airlines routinely adjust schedules for operational and commercial reasons, including aircraft availability, seasonal demand shifts, and network changes.

For travelers, the practical impact is earlier access to summer 2026 bookings from Concord-Padgett—especially on leisure routes—along with the need to monitor for schedule updates after purchase.

Avelo said the extended schedule is now open for reservations.
