Public Health Advisory: Measles Exposure Alert
Mecklenburg County Public Health has issued a critical advisory following confirmed measles exposures at multiple locations across Charlotte. While the current locations are considered safe to visit, residents who were present at the following sites during the specified times should monitor for symptoms for 21 days after exposure:
- Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center: 1000 Blythe Blvd., Feb. 3 (6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) and Feb. 4 (7:00 p.m. to midnight).
- Chipotle: 239 S. Kings Drive, Feb. 3 (9:50 p.m. to 11:50 p.m.).
- Goodwill: 5808 University Point Blvd., Feb. 4 (noon to 3:45 p.m.).
- Goodwill: 3710 W. W.T. Harris Blvd., Feb. 4 (2:00 p.m. to 4:40 p.m.).
Symptoms include high fever, cough, runny nose, and red, watery eyes, typically followed by a rash. If you develop symptoms, health officials urge you to call your healthcare provider or an emergency department before arriving in person to prevent further spread of the virus.

The City of Charlotte is hosting several public forums today, Thursday, February 19, 2026, aimed at shaping the future of the Queen City’s infrastructure and local neighborhoods:
- Coffee and Conversations: Hosted by the Charlotte Urban Design Center, this session focuses on the future of suburban shopping malls. The event includes a question-and-answer period regarding the adaptation of retail spaces into mixed-use community hubs.

Motorists should anticipate increased congestion in Uptown Charlotte this evening. The Charlotte Hornets are scheduled to host the Houston Rockets at Spectrum Center, with tip-off at 7:00 p.m. Additionally, ongoing lane closures for broadband infrastructure installation continue on NC-49 (South Tryon Street), impacting the southbound lanes. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time or use alternative routes through the center city corridor.
