A packed February weekend across Uptown, University City and the Whitewater Center

Charlotte’s calendar for Friday through Sunday, Feb. 6–8, 2026, includes touring theater, a major indoor expo, national touring comedy, live professional wrestling, and several community festivals. Events range from ticketed arena entertainment to free, family-friendly programs and registration-based cultural programming.

Several of the weekend’s biggest draws are concentrated in Uptown venues, where touring productions and large-scale events typically drive evening foot traffic for restaurants and transit. Meanwhile, daytime programming leans family-oriented, including hands-on arts programming and outdoor activities built around pets and winter recreation.

Stage and live entertainment: touring productions and arena-scale events

Among the headline options is the Broadway musical “The Outsiders,” scheduled to run through Sunday at Belk Theater. The production is based on S.E. Hinton’s novel and is presented as a touring engagement with ticketed performances through Feb. 8.

For national touring comedy, Margaret Cho is scheduled to bring her “Choligarchy” stand-up tour to The Fillmore on Friday night. Also Friday, WWE Friday Night SmackDown is set for Spectrum Center as part of the promotion’s Road to WrestleMania touring schedule.

For a smaller-format ticketed experience, “In Pour Taste” is launching its opening weekend at Blume Studios, structured as a wine-tasting event combined with live comedy and guided by a wine professional. Ticket options include tastings and an alcohol-free alternative.

Expos and festivals: boats, craft beer and Afro-Latinx heritage programming

At the Charlotte Convention Center, the Mid-Atlantic Boat Show is scheduled to continue through Sunday, featuring boat displays and related marine products across multiple categories, with general admission pricing and free entry for children 12 and under with a paid adult.

On Saturday afternoon, the Queen City Brewers Festival is scheduled at Tipsy Pickle, with participating breweries and proceeds designated for ACEing Autism and The Meggs Foundation. The event is listed as 21-and-over, with ticketed admission.

Also Saturday, Afro Legacy Fest is scheduled at the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, with programming centered on Afro-Latinx heritage through discussion and dance. Admission is listed as free with registration.

Family and outdoor options: puppets, pups and winter recreation

For families, PuppetPalooza is scheduled at ImaginOn on Saturday, designed as an all-day puppet festival with performances, activities, a puppet parade and take-home crafts. Admission is listed as free.

Outdoor programming includes “Dog Days of Winter” at the U.S. National Whitewater Center on Saturday, scheduled from morning through evening. The event listing includes a 5K trail race, adoption and vendor activities, clinics, and a chance for dogs to participate in on-site ice activities. General admission is listed as free, with the full schedule posted by the venue.
