What happened
Two people died after a shooting in north Charlotte early Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, prompting a homicide investigation in the North Tryon Division.
Police responded at about 4:47 a.m. to a call reporting an assault with a deadly weapon with injury in the 120 block of Atando Avenue, near North Tryon Street. Officers found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds who was taken to a hospital and later died.
A second victim was found nearby with gunshot wounds after a vehicle crash in the area. That person was transported with life-threatening injuries and later died, police said in an update released after the initial response.
