New corporate base opens near Charlotte Douglas International Airport

PSA Airlines has begun operating from a new corporate headquarters in Charlotte, completing a multi-year relocation of its headquarters functions from Dayton, Ohio. The move places the airline’s administrative center at 2709 Water Ridge Parkway in the Water Ridge Office Park, about two miles from American Airlines’ Charlotte Flight Training Center and roughly five miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

The headquarters opened in January 2026 and is expected to support more than 450 positions once fully staffed. Company figures indicate the staffing plan includes approximately 150 employees who relocated from Dayton, more than 50 employees who were already based in Charlotte at other facilities, and about 250 positions intended for new hires, with a majority of those roles already filled.

Why Charlotte became the focal point

PSA Airlines operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group and flies regional service under the American Eagle brand. The airline’s decision to establish its corporate base in Charlotte aligns with its operational footprint, including a significant share of its departures tied to Charlotte and its supporting role in American’s hub network.

When the relocation was announced in January 2025, the headquarters site was selected for proximity to training and airport infrastructure central to the carrier’s day-to-day operations. At that time, the company projected the facility would house about 400 team members; updated staffing expectations now place the number above 450 once hiring is complete.

Workforce transition and incentives

The relocation has combined employee transfers with local recruitment. The company has described the transition as including moves for Dayton-based corporate staff alongside hiring in the Charlotte area to fill newly created roles. PSA has also stated the relocation did not involve state or local incentives.

  • Headquarters location: 2709 Water Ridge Parkway, Charlotte (28217)
  • Target staffing: more than 450 team members when fully staffed
  • Composition: relocated employees, Charlotte-based transfers, and new hires

Dayton remains part of PSA’s footprint

While corporate functions have shifted to Charlotte, PSA has said it will maintain a significant presence in Dayton, including a crew base and a maintenance hangar at Dayton International Airport. The company has described continued operations there involving hundreds of employees across roles such as pilots, flight attendants, maintenance technicians, and supply chain professionals.

What comes next

A grand opening event for the Charlotte headquarters is planned for March 2026, with additional details expected closer to the date. The opening formalizes a geographic shift in PSA’s corporate operations while preserving key operational functions in Ohio and consolidating executive and support staff work near one of the airline’s core hubs.

Grand opening plans for the Charlotte headquarters are scheduled for March 2026.
