Traffic and Road Closure Alerts

Several significant road closures are in effect this Saturday due to scheduled events and infrastructure maintenance. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes where possible.

  • Mint Street Closures: Due to a special event at Bank of America Stadium, Mint Street is closed between Brooklyn Village Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. Additionally, the right northbound lane of Mint Street between West Trade Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is restricted from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • S. Tryon Street Construction: A long-term lane closure remains active on NC-49 (South Tryon Street) near the I-485 interchange. The inside southbound lane is closed for broadband infrastructure projects. This closure is expected to persist through early next week.

  • Measles Transmission Notice: Health officials are tracking active community transmission of measles. Residents who may have been exposed at local retail locations are advised to monitor for symptoms.
