A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured late Wednesday night after gunfire struck a home in northeast Charlotte, authorities said. Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on Barvas Street near Harris Houston Road at about 11:30 p.m. on March 5.
When officers arrived, they found the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital and was listed with serious injuries. Police said two other people who were inside the home at the time were not injured.
