Valentine’s Day weekend in Charlotte offers symphony, Riverdance, jazz, Broadway vocals and touring concerts

Charlotte’s Feb. 13–15 calendar blends classical music, touring dance, jazz and pop concerts
Charlotte’s Valentine’s Day weekend (Friday, Feb. 13 through Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026) brings a concentrated slate of ticketed performing-arts events across Uptown and nearby venues, with programming that ranges from a major orchestral program and touring dance production to jazz sets and arena-scale R&B.
Orchestra program anchors the weekend at Belk Theater
The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to perform Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 on Friday and Saturday nights, Feb. 13–14, at Belk Theater. The program includes Gabriel Kahane’s song cycle Pattern of the Rail, presented as part of the Symphony’s Spotlight Series, before Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony closes each concert.
Performances are listed for a 7:30 p.m. start time on both nights, placing the Symphony among the weekend’s central options for audiences seeking a formal concert setting.
Touring dance and theater offerings run multiple nights
For those prioritizing dance and stage spectacle, Riverdance 30 – The New Generation is set for a three-day run, Feb. 13–15, at Ovens Auditorium. The same weekend also includes Rouge, scheduled for Feb. 13–14 at Booth Playhouse, adding a parallel option within Uptown’s theater corridor.
Jazz and Broadway-focused performances target Valentine’s audiences
Several shows are positioned around Valentine’s weekend programming. The Jazz Room’s Valentine’s Day edition featuring the John Pizzarelli Trio is listed for Feb. 13–14 at the Stage Door Theater. In addition, Broadway performer Sutton Foster is scheduled for an evening performance on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Knight Theater.
Other Uptown performances listed for the weekend include The Steeldrivers with the Amanda Cook Band on Friday, Feb. 13, at Knight Theater, and a Sunday, Feb. 15, appearance by Nat Adderley, Jr. at Booth Playhouse.
Arena and club venues add touring concerts
Beyond the performing-arts centers, the weekend also intersects with touring concert traffic. Spectrum Center is slated to host “The Queens! 4 Legends. 1 Stage,” bringing Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and Stephanie Mills to Charlotte on Feb. 13. Meanwhile, The Fillmore Charlotte lists a Feb. 14 date for Lauren Spencer Smith.
